Let’s be clear, the soul of democracy is trust. When trust becomes an expendable choice mayhem is the result. Every American citizen has been expected to support its laws without terror as a conforming whip to comply. We have always supported the law. Let’s face it, we preferred voluntary compliance to that of tyranny. But now we face tyranny without checks and balances. How will we manage to get through this? Together! We must be willing to support one another by trusting that our neighbor wants the same thing that I do and will make the effort to meaningfully connect. We want freedom. What does that look like? That’s the core question, what does that look like, what does that mean?
